How do I use my free site updates per month? Free site updates are designed to keep your site fresh and updated at all times. You may update text, rates and images. In order to ensure prompt updates please email all update requests to support@thaibiz.com. Update requests should be outlined directly by email or mailed as attachment (MS word.doc). Images should be mailed in a .gif or .jpg format. Update requests can also be faxed to our office (as a print-out of your webpages, with the update added/highlighted). If you offices are located in the Phuket area we are happy to send our messenger to collect all data. Please note that we do not accept update request by phone. Update request must be precise, i.e. the particular page address (URL) must be provided for reference. Update request are usually implemented by our staff within 72 hours. In order to be eligible for free site updates renewal invoices due must have been paid in full. Also please note that hours expire every month if not used! What exactly is included in my free site updates per month? The definition of free site updates is as follows: Updates may include change of images, text changes or the posting of your newsletter on your website. Updates only apply to existing pages/domains. Free updates may also include the revision of your META TAGS. For more info see also: Are client visits included in my free site updates per month? No. Client visits will be billed at US$ 22 per hour. Fee applies to every started hour including transport. Do I have access to my server? Yes, you have full access to your owner server. Once registration of your domain and server has been completed we immediately email you your personal user i.d. and password. Can I work on my own website? Yes, you are welcome to do all updates yourself. Please keep in mind though that we keep two backup copies of all your data on our in-house servers at all times. Once you changed and uploaded pages from your end we can longer take full responsibility for the layout and overall appearance of your website as we simply have no back up version on our in-house servers. Please also note that all client's pages designed by thaibiz.com are custom-made according to latest search engine requirements. This includes proper meta tags, proper positioning of keywords, accounting for the right number of repeat keywords and proper placing of cross-links. By updating/changing pages yourself we can longer guarantee consistent and effective submission of your pages to search engines. If the client, during the process of self administration causes page/syntax errors, or the page to show errors, necessary correction from our end is not part of the 2 hours free site update support and will be billed accordingly. I cannot see updates implemented when I visit my webpage? In case you are seeing outdated information on your website, the problem might be in the individual cache handling of your browser and the cache settings applied. What the Cache does is that it saves online content to your hard disk to allow faster browsing the next time you visit the page. So when the next time you visit the page you are actually seeing a saved copy from your own computer that is not necessarily identical to the recent online content. After we completed updates we usually notify you by email. Before you check on the correctness of the update implemented you will have to clear your Cache, i.e. delete the current data saved on your hard disk. The easiest is of course that you set your browser so that by default you always see the latest version of Internet contents. Here are a few easy steps to do this. To apply the correct settings of your cache in Netscape Communicator:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5+:
It is also possible to clear the Cache manually each time you visit your pages. To clear the Cache of outdated content in Netscape Communicator: It is a well-known problem of Netscape Communicator 4+ that even after applying correct cache settings and after refreshing the page, sometimes outdated content is seen. In this case, it is possible to clear the memory cache of the browser by pressing SHIFT on your keyboard and Reload in the navigation tool bar of the browser.
