Is the domain registration included in my design fees?

If you opt for web design only we will not expedite the registration of your domain. However, if you opt for any of our Support Levels (1-3) we will register your domain and make sure everything goes smoothly. We will send your domain registration to our domain registrar on your behalf (.com, .net, .org, .info up to 67 characters).

Subsequent annual domain renewal fees are paid for by us, as long as you remain a client of thaibiz.com (i.e. you pay monthly fees). Please note this applies only to domains registered through our domain registrar!

What is the procedure for registering a new domain name?

When an account is activated with a new domain name, we will automatically send the registration template to our registrar. The information sent on the template is pulled directly from the order form. Our domain registrar typically completes the registration within 24 hours, and propagation typically takes about 72 hours. Non-U.S. domain names must be registered by the end-user.

How can I transfer an existing domain name to the thaibiz.com server?

We do except domain transfers (domain migration) but charge a one time administration fee of US$ 65. When you place an order be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a new domain.

Pending on your domain registrar (NETSOL, regsiter.com, registrar.com, open SRS management, speednames etc..) we may initiate the domain transfer through online forms or by email. Some registrars require a user i.d. and password to access the domain account. You will need to provide these details in order to ensure a smooth domain transfer.

All internet providers must update their records (DNS tables) to reflect new site locations. This is called propagation. Propagation is usually completed in about 72 hours, during which time visitors could get transferred to either site. At the end of the 72 hours you should contact the previous host to have them delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access you will not be able to access your domain site at thaibiz.com until they update their DNS.

Will I be able to access my domain name with or without the WWW?

Yes, you will be able to access the domain name with or without the WWW in front. For example, you could access your site by going to "www.your-domain.com" as well as "your-domain.com".

Can I register a non-US domain name?

thaibiz.com can serve domain names other than .com, .net, or .org, but the end user will be responsible to register their domain name with the proper local authority within your country. Upon activating your account, thaibiz.com will provide you with an IP address that should be used on your domain application form.

Here are the steps for activating a non-US domain:

  1. Check with the agency in your country who manages domain names to obtain their registration procedures. You also need to get the proper form or template that is required for the registration.

  2. Submit your request for a thaibiz.com web account via our online form and use your domain name (i.e.. your_name.de or your_name.es ).

  3. thaibiz.com will e-mail you an activation notice that will include an IP address.

  4. Complete the necessary information on your domain form or template and be sure to include the IP address that was provided by thaibiz.com.

  5. When you register with your regional NIC, you will need to supply the names and IP addresses of the nameservers which will be servicing your site. We can provide you this information at the time you place your order.

Many international NICs require that the account be open on our servers before they will allow the name to be registered. In those cases, you should allow 36 hours after your account is opened before attempting to register the domain name, as our nameservers will not require an authoritative response.
